Kids and thier pesky hondas

Great video! Yep. That song just about says it all! Could have been written about me! When I was just eighteen a cop tried to stop me in my 57 Ford station wagon. Well being young and dumb, working at a hot rod shop turning wrenches, and having a 427 side oiler in it, the chase was on.

The 1969 Plymouth 383CI LASD sheriff's unit behind me could not make a turn I made and went up over the curb and into a yard. (The deputy was NOT hurt) Later on they came to my house and hooked me up. (I think the neighbors gave me up) My parents bailed me out. Am I proud of that. No. But I would not change a thing. It's just who I am today.

And to think I ended up in L/E for 28 years! Can't stop. Nope. Still a "Hot Rod Lincoln" driver at heart!

Not trying to be disparaging but if I raced every kid with a fart can that revved on me in my Vette, I'd be racing all day.

My car isn't exactly a sleeper and it's pretty much a street legal race car (and sounds mean as hell). I asked one kid who did a couple of flybys in his 95 Escort what he was trying to prove and he said he just wanted to see what my car could do.

After talking to lots of guys over the years at cruise nights, bike nights, etc. they know my car will beat them badly, but they're gearheads and pretty much just want to see a fast car go fast. They're not the enemy, they're enthusiasts who just don't have the money (or maturity in some cases) to own a really fast car yet.

i want to die in my sleep not screaming and yelling like the passengers in the car. everyone sees a cruiser but it does have balls i have and will keep doing the same thing keep putting them in their place .

I dont want to die in my sleep, I'd be worried about my poor wife who after finding my body would be faced with the task of having to drag me out of bed, down the hall, and out to the curb all by herself..........

Neither am I. No I wouldn't have bothered with a Civic. I've chewed up my share of Vipers and Mustangs though.
The more expensive the opposition the better
ferraris & porsches are a dietry nessessity especially enjoyable if there's a babe in the passenger seat.

I believe it about the Mustangs, but unless that C5 has a big power adder, the Viper guy didn't know how to drive. I've owned modified Mustang Cobras, Corvettes, and Vipers. The Viper with only intake, exhaust, and programming changes would kill my supercharged Cobra and my built C5.

I guess it all depends on who's doing the building . What's so hard to believe? A first gen Viper is only good for about 400 hp stock which is pretty pathetic for an 8.0 liter V-10.
