Key and FOB reprogramming

FYI The OBDSTAR worked great for programming keys. Decided it's served it purpose, so if anyone wants a Triumph OBDSTAR like new, I've got it listed:

I got mine done they did it for "free" $150 when replacing the Multifunction display, that was a costly replacement ad Triumph wouldn't help, I feel it was a factory fault. I couldnt find a site, sorry mate. Alfred.

When you programmed the new keys did you need to turn the engine on or just electrical? I have an interlock not allowing the starter to fire but otherwise everything works the same. Thanks!
