Global warming ,just thinking how long have we had motor vehicles that run on oil based products, maybe 100 plus years we have been pumping from under the earths crust and from under the sea . Why was the crude oil placed there in the first place .was it placed there to act as a insulator from the heat radiating out from the earths core ? Over the last 100 years comsumption of oil has increased .maybe this is adding to the increasing temperatures

Don't over think it Pete all that oil was put there for us humans to turn into fuel for internal combustion engines. What else would that slippery black gooey stuff be good for?

What's the common denominator of global warming CO2 ....... 7 billion people on the planet ...billions of farm animals... billions of vehicles... millions of industries..then we can get into the breaking down of the ozone layer.. They claim by 2050 the amount of vehicles on the planet will double along with everything exponentially.. The future looks bright Just a thought

Watched an interesting program the other night about how the earth has, and still does, cycle through climate change. Whatever happens to global warming it wont stop the next ice age when the northern hemisphere will gradually be covered by ice miles deep.

The cause is a coming together of three factors in the orbit and tilt of the earth around the Sun, these three factors next coincide in 50000 years time.

No renewable low carbon energy scheme is ever going to alter that, the climate is definitely changing for sure - just has it always has, but very little that man does is going to change things - the forces of nature are still king.
