Yep, that was the ride in question. I have done it more times than I am able to count and every time I have more fun that the last time, lol. The only suggestion I would add is to go from Morenci to Alpine, south to north. Otherwise you will be heavy on the brakes for the 90 miles. Plus going uphill you can really show off the torque of the Rocket for those poor folks on other bikes.

I can totally understand that after many rides you are liking it better each time. Tis a fantastic run, and in my top ten for sure! :thumbsup:
Interesting you report that as, having ridden it both ways, I really found no directional preference. :rolleyes:
I also found that it traversed up to over 9,000 feet in both directions . . . heh heh heh :eek: :roll:

Having been born in Morenci I learned to drive on this road. My suggestion for going south to north is for the uninitiated, my feeling is they will enjoy it more that direction. Anyone taking the ride do not miss the Blue Vista Lookout, the view is incredible.
