Mine used to whine about parts, now she's just learned to ask "Can you limit spending for the bike to X dollars this month". It works out well.

On the other hand, you have an X right? If you do swap stuff remember to keep the stock parts :)

I don't think you have a problem. C'mon, you have a Harley and a Rocket? Sounds like she's expecting the RamAir story any minute and just calculating her "trade in value":sneaky::rolleyes:

She has learned over the years that I have a problem when it comes to motorcycles. Just can not help myself when it comes to making improvements. I sold her on the piss poor shock theory but engine improvements after the Harley is going to be a bit rough. I think she is aware that it is coming.;););););););)

Obviously it's financial situation depending but I've found over the years of owning vehicles I modify (100% of my vehicles gets modded) that telling the wife straight out my plan works best. Then we discuss when big expenses get done and time it right.

My wife has given up hope that anything will stay stock though, so since she knows she can't stop it, she works with me.

Hopefully yours is as flexible with it.

Well, you got a price in mind for which you will sell the Harwee. Of course the price you tell the wife you ended up getting is precisely x dollars less than the cost of ramair and pipes!

We are all too old to not get what we want in the rest of our live. My wife is cool with that. Of course she drives a Porsche for her fun car and a Honda for her work car.

The Harley is a 2010 Fatboy built to the max and has been very well maintained. Problem is the market is full. IMG_0063.JPG Really no hope in selling it but what the #uck. figure $6,000 but with five or six Harleys sitting on main street with for sale signs that are not moving not much hope. :(:(:(:(:(:(
