Okay , so here is the saga thus far:
1) Jars and pods installed
2) chickened out on tune ecu so got a pc and had her dynoed
3) buggered if I can get the bear claw back on. Think I'll hafta chop it. Waddya reckon?
4) See the exposed pipe just behind the chrome over the headers?
Well I can't get the chrome cover to fit. Think I'm gonna hafta seriously "massage" it.

Absolutely love the way she's running. The dyno results say 131.77 horsies and 141.19 torque Sound about right?

Sounds luvverly.

Cutting the bc adds a better view of the engine and of course makes it fit without having to massage it all into place. I would highly reccommend that mod. After cutting the bc you will think the uncut bc was odd and the cut bc looks natural.

Ish, if you angle the pods slightly (turn to the right about 1/6-1/8 turn) the bc fits back on. Bit of a squeeze but it goes. You actually only need to turn the back one but I did all three because it looks nicer  I've taken my bc off about a dozen times and started to cut - well more or less started to think about cutting - but chickened out each time. I'm gonna do it; I really am. I like Evil Mitch's best - think it's in his album.

Nice dyno numbers. Still reckon those Jars would have gone beautifully on my bike. Now you can join Mitch and Hanso in making me feel inadequate. :(

Hey what about me !!!!! I'm making you feel inadequate too !!!!! :D

Whilst you control the fate of the Aussie R3 rings, young Canberra, you will not be considered inadequate:D
Where would I find a photo of Mitch's cut claw?

There's a few others (I recall) in this thread too - Link Removed - and some pics showing the 'turn' on the pods to fit.

Yeah thanks TC, I appreciate it. ;)

Ish I guess its to late on the TuneECU but I have had great success using it. So it must be idiot proof. lol I have added the tri filter under BC, and added TORs.

What do you think about the added noise of the throttle bodies?

Are your secondarie butterflies open 100%?

I've kept my eyes open for a used BC but haven't found one yet so I can cut it up.

Thank you very much for the photo of Mitch's claw , Canberra. I agree with you - it's a good look. You don't happen to know where you can get that trim material do you?

Good to "see" you as always Mully. Are you happy with your filter and Tors set up? Got any figures on horsies and torque?
The tors are very attractive with an excellent finish I reckon.

You can hear the extra noises from the throt bodies but it doesn't worry me at all. I think it will quiet a little if I can ever get the bloody bearclaw back on ( one way or t'other )

Talking about getting things back on, I couldn't get the chrome covers or original "domed chromed nuts back onto the manifold/extractors as the studs are too long and the shape is different with the jars . I'm not worried about it and wouldn't consider shortening the manifold studs or using spacer washers.

Secondaries are open 100%.

I've photos of both sides which I'll post as soon as I can work out how to resize them and you'll be able to see my results ( thus far)
