Well it's arrived.......after much deliberation I went and bought an Ixil exhaust. My big worry was would it work with the panniers - I had my doubts. The seller assured me there would be no problem and then on one of the FB group some guy told me he did 10 days touring Spain with no issues.
The only mod I did was putting heat foil on the carbon bits because I read somewhere that the heat can cause yellowish.

Look forward to your opinion of the sound. Not knowing the bike well, do those eliminate the cat?
 
I fitted the Ixil on my "R" and I confirm that there is no catalyst and so much the better...The exhaust comes with two kinds of removable cups intended to reduce the sound...I tried them but did not fit them because it is really not very effective
