Hopes of getting her back together for a new years ride vanished before my eyes. Getting ready to torque the pressure plate bolts when one broke and sent the spring skyward. Just did get close to 10nM. Now its going to be 1 to 2 weeks before new ones arrive. At least I got the stud out- could have been very expensive.

Great advice idk. Even though it's not in the manual I read somewhere here that removing and installing requires an even force around the basket to prevent future problems. I was surprised to have one break so I took one with a pair of piers to check the strength, broke quit easily just above the threads just like the first one. My wife is convinced that it wasn't meant to be for this weekend to be thankful it didn't give up after all was bolted back together. Maybe she's right, but then again that 2010 touring model looked good at the dealership- gas it up and go. I've spent the last 1.5 weeks wrenching on this beast and the itch is terrible.
