Is it nation/world wide to get flu/colds

I think the higher population and interaction with other people will promote a higher cross contamination of any viral infection. If your arround anyone with the flu wash your hands before you eat and even before you wipe your eyes. Also you immune system has a lot to do with this, I am like Scott in exile I don't get the flu and DON'T get flu shots. My wife and kids can get sick but I never do, eat well and get your vitamin D (from the sun) but don't get burnt.:D

I too spent Christmas and New Year's with the flu. I spent New Years drinkimg tea :( ffs. It's said to drag on for quite a few weeks too, easing off and then coming back. This is my first bad flu in approx 20 years. Lots of folks around here have it.

Colds and flu

You are right about that T.O.
I think Canada is the flu and cold capitol of the world.
As a teacher I get sick all the time, at least twice , sometimes 3 times a year.
I get it from the kids with miserable colds that the parents have sent to school instead of keeping them at home.
I,ve been teaching now for 23 years and still not immune.

How many of you who've had the flu got a flu shot?

I got one for free, seemed like a no-brainer. No guarantee to protect against all strains, but the price was right for whatever it might prevent.

My wife is a Pharmacist. She brings it all home to me. But after awhile I was immune. I get nothing now. With or without a Flu shot. I have been told by a nurse in an ER room, they keep the ER room so cold to kill the viruses. So who knows. Goggle it.

I had the flu shot early December and although flu free so far, I caught something off my Grandson over Christmas - just a cough but cant shift it, nearly two weeks now. :(
