started my 2015 roadster up today for the first time in poss 2 whole months,
it started straight away but sounded like a jcb diesel tracktor .
what the **** is going on here then ,6600 miles on the clock and sounds on deaths ****ing door door already.
it sounded ok after poss 5 mins without touching the throttle, thank god. i had an old range rover with a ford cargo engine fitted in to it and that sounded better
at 6000 miles i could hear my lifters when it was cold
now if i had let it sit for a couple of months i could just imagine what it would sound like before the oil got up there,
Yep,
Normal when dealing with a motor that scavenges like ours after sitting for a while. One reason to use good oil and not the cheapest on the shelf.
Thats exactly why i start mine once a week when its in hibernation.....keeps the oil on things, battery stays alive...bike thinks its going somewhere and gets all excited...
