I thought this was a pro Dark Side Thread, but there are too many haters that want to impose their fears of reality on the rest of us. For speed, yes the motorcycle tire is best, but for longevity, the car tire is best. My last rear motorcycle tire lasted 6k miles. My wife and I combine to have 470lbs on the beast. With the torque of the beast, a car tire suits us. We tour, not race in the twisties. For that, they make sport bikes. For me and my ride, 17k on a rear All Season Performance car tire is good enough for me. I use to build tires. The technology is not what it was 20 years ago. Cars are drifting now. Heck, you can buy tires that smoke in your favorite color when you are doing burnouts.
