Yeah I know the parking spot, it gets pretty full on nice days of a weekend....
I'll hit you up for a coffee one day for sure.
I bought my bike privately from WA, had been looking for about six months seriously not a lot out there... good luck. FYI Transport over from WA is costing me $935 through a company called bike moves and they seem very professional to deal with. Bike leaves WA today, Yay....

R3Rider,

BTW everyone I've changed my handle from BADAS to RANGO as it appears, I may have offended someone. I think here in Aus it's no big deal but our US colleagues sometimes find it quite offensive. No probs, "BADAS" is actually my license plate number on my Shelby Mustang.

Ahhhh, thanks for the info on freighting the machine from WA. I am actually currently negotiating with a WA seller and I had estimated about $750, so it's a tad more mmmmmmmm.
May I asked how much you paid for your Rocket, k's and year?

I can get one here in Melbourne for $10,500 with RWC, 2005, 19,500km in better than new condition, with aftermarket pipes and chipped. I rode it, it's glorious and can't be flawed at all.
Alternately there another on offer here $8,750 with RWC, 2006, 42,000km, haven't seen it but apparently the last buyer bailed because of rust issues, which concern me coz I'm a clean freak.
A WA one on offer for $11,000, 2008, 14,000km, obviously haven't ridden it yet either.

What are your thoughts R3Rider?

Well, Fellas, finally got my new toy last week.
Aus $10,000, 2005 with 19,000km owned previously by a 62 yo Cathay Pacific 747 pilot who treated it like his baby.

My daughter and I have been clocking up the miles the last few days. I so love the bike and feel like I'm 16 again.

Sorry Rango,

I missed your post, congrats on the new bike. I paid 16k for mine plus transport etc. It's a 2011 Roadster and had only 8,600 k's on the clock, with Staintune Performance exhaust, Pillian back rest, leather saddle bags front crash bars, front low screen all Triumph accessories....

Yours looks neat too.

Cheers
Jason

G'Day Jason,
"LETS MEET"
Thanks for your post.
Perhaps on a dry day we could meet and have a chat, perhaps outside The Vineyard in Acland St near Luna Park. Would be great if we could meet Ponters too as I believe he's in South Melbourne.
If any other Melbourne guys are interested, please could you contact me.
Thanks
Rango
