Go for the shield! Tis quick & easy to remove. No shields are great for day rides, but NOT for long 2 - 6 week trips!

Only thing windshields are good for is protecting your make-up, not much against windshields I own two and have used them for a total of a few hundred miles they are on a shelve gathering dust, now if I do not want to feel the wind blowing on me I will ride my cage other wise I enjoy the full experience of riding a motorbike.
