I should have got a Harley

I have never knocked Harleys .. like i've said before i've had more dramas with my Rocket than any of the Harleys i've owned.. true. The new batch of HD riders are ... .
 
I followed the development of the V-Rod and was actually excited to try one out when they hit the floors. The first time I ever sat on one I couldn't believe how physically small it was. As I sat there thinking how small it felt, a complete stranger confirmed my thoughts by saying, "Man, you are way too big for that bike." On the other hand, I know of a guy that's got me by 100lbs that rides his V-Rod everywhere!
What's my favorite thing about the Rocket.......It fits like a glove!!!
 
Don't knock the belt drive, maintanence free on my Harley for 20 years there only enemies are stones and big horsepower. On a slightly massaged motor absolutely caned for 20 years I never touched it.

Thats because Harleys do not have enough horsepower to wear them out.
 
Wonder how the Thunderbird is going to travel with the fan belt set up. Not sure what Triumph are thinking there other than trying to attract the HD crowd!!

Like I said maintenance free I'd guess thats what Triumph are thinking.

Wasn't having a go at you T.C. just saying to Tas that the old 50ml wide belts on the Evos where basicly trouble free. The only blokes I know that had trouble with them were the ones that removed the stone guards or did alot of gravel road riding and punched stones through them causing them to eventually break. Or ran them to tight making the gearbox seal start leaking. Don't know about the narrower belts they run on the newer bikes.
 
Took my heritage out to watch a soccer game, she enjoied it very much
 
Dawg you are right on... That vrod was way too small for anyone I'd say 5' 10" and above. And if you have some girth, a man can look down right ridiculous on it. The rocket is a good fit for me, I think I'll keep it.
 
Who Was The Coolest ?

It all comes down to these two guys. Which one was the REAL rider.
