I am still struggling to fully recover from my near-fatal Sep. 09 crash with the 1700cc V-Max . All my X-rays and other hi-med-tech scans look jolly good, according to the MD's .
Only wish my body ( 7 months later) felt the same.
The "La Bird" (with the 1700cc kit) is a brave mount, BTW. No Rocket-related regret on my part, whatsoever .

It will never feel the same. You have to adapt, that's all. I get reminded every so often myself. I can't sit a certain way anymore....
I'm reminded of the time when I was 16 and was fireroading my KTM 250 ISDT bike and unloaded over the handlebars and pulled my thumb out of the socket and had to reset it myself...in the woods. In the woods, no one hears you scream...
I have arthritis real bad in the joint now and it hurts like hell when it's damp outside.
So, between the thumb and the other unspeakable injury, I keep on, as you will, with modifications of course.
I can still pull a trigger just fine. I guess my not so operable thumb and first finger has driven me to do trigger pull jobs on all my firearms. Necessity is the mother of modification.....
