With the other forum we are glad you chose the real forum. Its all family here and we are glad to have you aboard. By the time you land the rocket you will have gained a wealth of knowledge. Worry not in the short term the 1100 will surely add some bugs to your teeth. Heed the advise offered by Bull about those twisties, I nearly lost one years ago on the rim of Palo Duro Canyon in Texas. Enjoy and ride safe!
We've always had a few non-Rocket owners on here. Even had the odd Goldwinger. Sorry, he actually wasn't the only odd Goldwinger (they're all a bit odd).

One time many many years ago I was out for a cruise on my Norton Commando when a black midnight special pulled onto the highway and he went past me and sorta sneered then took off. I instantly thought there was no way an XS650 was going to do that to me so I got on it. The Commando was fresh and I had clip-ons and rearsets on it and so off I went. blew past him feeling pretty good when he cracked the throttle and started leaving me?????????? We were approaching a couple of long sweepers and I held the throttle wide open and aimed for the inside and we went into the corner with him a ahead of me when he started to wobble badly. At this point we were doing over the ton and he slowed drastically and I was away. on the next straightaway he went past me like I was standing still as I was slowing to a more sane speed. It was then that I noticed it was an XS1100 not a 650. That thing defined bendy frames.
Hell, last RAA Texas we had a purple Harley
which by the way he didn't know if he was coming or going, one of the funniest guys i have ever seen! (Clinton)
