how many k's in one day

Hey sounds great....what were you sitting on...(and don't say your arse) ? I did a lap of tassie over 3 days total about 1500k. such a nice ride....thank good I wasn't on the triumph gel seat....my 700 k day was on it and talk about numb, burn, pain....

don't know how our yankee brothers do the 1400+....iron butt bastards.

:D Gel seats, when I stopped for Fuel I must have looked like Quasimodo  not pretty :(

On the way up I opened the bike up to 200kmh and it was still going
About half way on the return trip the wife said over the Icom ..
"Can we do 200 again and get home quickly" .. yeah right !!

I've got the Roadster gel and the Classic seat, Classics more comfortable for rider and passenger from my experience. Sore arse always seems to be gone when your a couple of hundred klms .. from home .. after a few days in the saddle. Most comfortable seat that i found was a gel solo riders seat i borrowed for a trip from a mate once. It was a treat !!

Haven't had the oportunity to do a big ride on this bike yet but it's twice as ridable than my last bike so I reckon I'll cut some Ks up easy.
Last bike was an 04 Sprint RS. It used to cause me fome real grief in the hands and wrists because of the forward lean position. Bum used to get a fair burn going too.:(

I did 2 big Victoria to Queensland and back trips on it in a year but the biggest single day would have been Tamworth to home (25 Ks south of Wodonga).
910 Ks in the rain in less than 10 hours mid June.
I won't ride at night without necessity so I packed the bike in the early morning twilight and left at 6.30am, only stopped for fuel/food and kept the stops to 15 minutes. Was home at 4.10.

That same trip I had done 3200 (including this bit) over 5 days.
Home to Sydney, Glen Innes, Brighton QLD, Tamworth via Laidley then home.
All in mid winter with -3degrees starts on some days (Putty Rd at 7.00am is very refreshing), all in daylight and half of it in rain.

I'm gunna have a bash at an Ironbutt run on the way home from Hervey bay in September. That'll be the real test for me, the bike and the bum cheeks.

Green Valley, AZ to Salt Lake City, UT. A very long 16 hour day traveling 802 miles (as per google maps) or 1,290 km.

This trip was taken in September of 2010. It was a round trip from Kennewick, WA - Eugene, OR - Fort Bragg, CA - San Luis Obispo, CA - Anaheim, CA (Mickey said "Hi") - La Quinta, CA - Green Valley, AZ - Salt Lake City, UT - Kennewick, WA.

Longest day on the rocket was Thornlands to Bundaberg the inland way through Biggenden about 400 k. In the early 80's we did Woodenbong to Bathurst easter races 4 years in a row 1100 k. One day to get there a week to get home.

Longest ride in a day was Hervey Bay to Melbourne (Chelsea Heights) in 22 hours. Distance 1810 kilometres = 1124 miles.

Only stopped for fuel, smoke, piss, feed twice, and of course to get the circulation back into the arse cheeks. The faster you go the less you seem to worry about the sore numbed out arse, but must be amusing to to others when they see one trying to walk normal.

Bit embarrasing really. Did just under 700km in a day (round trip) to go visit the grandkids Christmas before last. That's the longest single day ride I've done on any bike.
I've done a fair few weekend rides but generally only 350 - 600km. It's just a little over 300km to Hanso's and back! Very easy to go through a tank of fuel (200-300km) in an afternoon just cruising round the local area; some great rides and places to stop.

Yes looking forward to getting down your way for some of those good rides. Loved riding from Tumut to Cooma last year:eek:

also did 460 miles on my classic in bout 6 hrs a couple years ago before it got totaled

Not much compared to some of these saddle sore guys, but 573 miles in about 11 hours, half of that getting rained on :( After a while, you just gotta power through.
