How bad are the trucks? Really?

From discussing with locals it appears that truck traffic has declined significantly over the past year. NC did erect signs discouraging truck traffic but, of course they are only seen by the northbound truck.

The few trucks that do end up on the Dragon will get a volunteer "pilot" motorcycle. If you approach another rider signalling you to slow down, by all means, heed the warning and slow down.

I somewhat disagree with the notion that the trucks have the same right to the road as everyone else. Truck drivers have a responsibility to make sure their equipment is suitable to be on the roads that they travel. If they know that their truck will not be able to stay on their side of the road, then they should not be on that road. If they decide to continue, they should be ticketed and fined for their unsafe behaviors.

Rode the dragon a couple years ago im glad i was hugging the white line halfway around a blind corner a pickup truck halfway in my lane. I enjoyed the ride i wasnt breaking any speed limits but i wanted too i will be going back.

First Video - The guy was a squid - all over the roadway and into the oncoming lane as bad as the semi trucks. I feel for the truck drivers. It's the lobby for the **** transport companies that keep pushing for bigger trucks, longer trailers. The poor drivers are just trying to make a living.

Second Video - Fluff, nuff said.

Third Video - One of the best skilled riders I have seen ride the dragon on video. He was cool when stuck behind the slower rider and when free, easily caught up with his buddies, who were absolutely no slouches! I be IMPRESSED!

Thanks for sharing, TRIIICK, :gp:
