I give the R3 a wash yesterday and when I started it up the indicators didnt work for about half an hour and then began to work normally and stayed that way all day.
They worked again this morning until I removed a lens and a bulb from one of rears to try and match up a smoked or clear type lens at a custom parts shop.
They failed to work as soon as I put the lens and globe back on.
I got no flashing at the dash either.
Then I found the horn not working,I never tried it the 1st time they didnt work.
Hi/low beam switch DOES work ok

I had a look at the switches and they seem ok,nice and clean in there ,although I didnt have time to run a test on them .

I think the indicator fuse is number 4 but I cant see the horn in the fuse list, anyone know which fuse is for the horn?

The horn circuit is pretty straight forward. I would recommend you consider installing an EB horn relay, more power to the horn and not as finicky. I used the dual horn setup and installed some Freeway Blasters.

Well it wasnt the fuse.

Well,it was actually,I thought the spares were at the other end and I was looking at #3.
Anyway the indicator and horn fuse WAS blown,I replaced it and for 30 mins or so it worked fine and then the RH side shut down.
The old flasher unit made a noise like someone being strangled a long way away when I used the RH indicator and then when silent.
I tried a new flasher unit and now the RH side makes a noise when flashing but no flash.
At one stage everything worked but the indicators flashed at twice the normal speed.
Now LH side flashes normally and Horn works.
Im wondering if the switch mechanism is faulty,it seems to feel different when clicking to the right .

All fixed. Apart from the blown fuse, one of the sockets for the bulb had an earth contact that was bent down and was occasionally touching the positive contact.
I guess that is what IDK meant by a bar ground.
Thanks to those who offered help
