So here I am poking along at 75ish, see a Kawi with a girl on it,. Pass her by and see the bike is a 300, no fun.

Two minutes later, a chick goes by me at like 90...immediately know it's not he same girl to my surprise. She's on an R1 . See her look down in the mirror to see if I was coming along, as soon as she recognizes that I had picked up the pace she pulls to about 110 and we cruise there for a while.

She has a moment where a non signaling driver cuts her off, bad, saves herself and to my delight keeps on with a fun pace.

Come around a long sweeping left and......bike cop speed trap Fuuuuuuuuuuu

No hesitation she drops two gears and now it's really time for some fun. We run significantly faster (shhh) than his known top speed (135mph, a BMW R1200RT police bike) for a few exits, give each other a wave and thumbs up and take our respective exits.

First time I have ever had such a random and fun encounter with a female rider !

One of the Police officers providing safety on my swim last month is a former Rescue Swimmer student of mine. He is now the commander of the Prince George's County Police and tells me of their fancy camera system. Like many police cars around the country, their helicopters have a license plate reader that can read an plate from 1000 feet up at the right angle. They use it more often for finding stolen cars, but an occasion chase pops up in his view he says. Luckily for you, his helicopters can only fly at 160 knots...

but im confused.. is your bike not more or less stock performance wise, or have you Lushed it up yet..? and are you not worried about being one of only a couple Rockets on the island i.e. easy track down?
 
Stock internally yes, intake/exhaust/tune, Carpenter has my other head currently, fixing it. Have logged 156 mph, still pulling when I had to let off (traffic). Suspect terminal velocity ad is, should be right around 160-165.

Speedo is corrected, but useless up there

Yeah, A m one of two Roadsters with strips, both have white stripes. It would be easy if you knew what to look for, but the sheer volume of HDs around here people see it and assume Harley on the road.

Interestingly enough, Michigan PD published their most recent road tests including 2 Harley-Ps, R1200RT-P, and a zero-P. Neither harley could break 120, the BMW tapped out at 137 but took an agonizing 12+ miles to get to that speed and pulled an average 4.4 0-60 and 9.94 seconds 0-100. It's outperformed by a bone stock R3R, at any speed let alone a modified one.

Add in that he's got to get ON his bike, get moving and up to speed and you have basically zero chance of being caught, except by his buddy a radio call away. Everyone I knew growing up did the same thing when going fast and getting radared at a trap... floor it for 3-5 exits and dip off.

Ours I'm told are 1000m readers and are like laser guidance systems - once locked on you're screwed. The buggers patrol the curves behind my house. Not so worried by the ticket risk as the bloody noise. The other side of the road is open fields and they can drop low. Especially as typically they do so at the weekend - esp Sunday. They're after the "Power Rangers" (Sports bike and matching leathers) really.

The chase cars are unbelievable - 6L Race Engine Nissans with dual turbos (no idea what from) - was stopped by one for a documentation check and even sat on idle the ground shudders. They would give Scott a good chasing. I was told 350km/h. I asked - I wanted to see the engine. It's just a huge black thing - throbbing.
