- Rocket 3 Classic and anything else i can get onto!
hi Captains,
had my rocket for almost 9 years now, had a lingering hi rev issue since practically day one.
i have done everything imaginable to try and fix it. replaced the primary TPS, re-tuned it a million times, removed the stepper motor, lubed it a dozen times. in the end, i just kept turning the ignition on and off while riding which seemed to reset it. I've done that for about 8 Years!!!
i just couldnt justify spending the mone on a new stepper motor.
well, after my re-build which i finished just a couple of weeks ago, the high idle started again.
this time, i bit the bullet and brought a new idle stepper motor. praise the Lord! what a difference!
the issue have now been fixed and she is purring like a kitten!
i would suggest that if any of your guys are having issues with hi idle speeds, just replace the stepper motor and it will be sweet.
cheers
