And some of us "old farts/geezers" are younger than others.

Welcome to the site from Molino, FL and Afghanistan...bring your checkbook or cash when you go on the demo ride.

the young guys at work, most of whom ride harleys or sport bikes of every flavor,
called mine a "geezersicle" when I first got it, that and "buffalo".
After riding with them and past them, they changed their tune.
Now they sing a different tune, especially when I wear my HD2SLO shirt;)

just a quick shout to say hi to everyone.
i live south of houston in pearland, texas.
current bike is a yamaha fjr and am cruising bike websites looking for ideas.
the touring rocket seems to be a great fit for an old fart like me.
be safe.
:)

Hello Houston, welcome to the clan. YLBILL here in BIG D (Dallas). 56 yoa and on my 3rd Rocket, I keep coming back to the R3...lesson learned. Once you've had a Rocket you'll never go back or at least you'll keep coming back. :D

thanx for the warm welcome

this past weekend i went & looked at the new ducati diavel that just came out, very nice but also very expensive.
also went by the triumph/bmw dealer on college ave. in south houston to look at the rockets and was very impressed. i talked with salesman scott buck for quite some time and he explained a lot of the bikes features to me.
found out the touring model is just a "detuned" bike which explains the horsepower ratings difference. i do favor the roadster with the clean streamlined look and will start getting around to selling my 2008 fjr with heated corbin seat and smuggler storage.
hey "charlie c.",,,,i have family in huffman. my neice & nephew both graduated from huffman high. my sister still lives in the area.
ok this 59 year old is logging out and getting back to work. by ya'll.

A late welcome from downunder..
Im only 67 but I am looking forward to joining the old farts in retirement, :rolleyes:well one day maybe ...perhaps when I cant ride the R3 anymore  ..got my own teeth :D
