Hi all :)
I have been a regular visitor to this forum for many months even though I previously owned a 2002 S3, I have sold my speed triple and this week purchased an 2005 R3 from the US, the bike has only travelled 1400kms, she's a beauty, the Rocket has had the emmision gear removed and the catylic convertor has been taken off and the inside cleaned out then refitted, it has standard pipes at the moment. My question is if I purchased Tuneboy what Tune would be suitable for me currently? also has anyone modyfied the exhaust baffles? I was thinking of drilling holes around the inside of the baffles to give her a bit more of a roar,

Standard pipes

Lofty's mate Rick here in Adelaide removed his collector box, fitted the Triumph adaptor - removed the pipes, and totally removed the baffles himself, refitted, sounds ok, Lofty could tell you more.
I have fitted the Stain Tune 3 into 3 and replaced collector box, sounds good also. According to Stain Tune adds around 22hp.
Lofty Bob via Nev Lush @ Victor fitted Jardines, 3 into 2 looks great sound is huge - might give you a head ache on a long run. Lofty wears ear plugs.
May fit Jardines yet myself when I send it to Nev for the power commander and a few other little mods. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that, I will save up some dolleroes first and then look at replacing the cat collector with a purpose made one and lose a couple of kilos, seen them on ebay bloody hell $$$ I think by removing the inside of the cat which I have already done and then maybe removing the baffle and drilling out I may get a better result than the current restricted wheeze that eminates out, just looking at Thunderbikes.co.nz full kit includes remade collector and choice of 2 or 3 pipe setup, 3 pipe costs around $1555 NZ, but they do sound good.

4 me, where in nz are you ?
Im in hamilton
we should hook up , I moded my pipes (cored them)+ made a cat delete

When you say cored them can you explain? also you made your own cat by pass, what did you base it on I have seen the trangle shaped ones for sale on ebay, did you add any bffle in the by pass collector or is it just an in and out? cheers.

cored them - using an 1 1/4 hole saw welded to an extention 12 in long , drilled the centeral tubes out of mufflers ,
cat delete- removed catbox replaced mufflers welded stainless elbows and tubes to suit , this actualy took a lot of work as I did all the welding off the bike , so I didnt upset any electrics , used the triumph "54" tune, no worries
i welded an 1 1/4 tube back in the mufflers , which is more free flow than standard

chch were comin down that way for the t.o.m.c.c. rally next march , mite see you down there then

Sounds like a bit of work good on ya, I take it you got a Tuneboy? Would look forward to you dropping by next year, thanks for the information much appreciated.
