Hello, everyone,
I live just west of the Twin Cities Metro. It's a balmy -2 degrees F, so I won't be riding today. I bought my Rocket 3 in August and love it. So far I have put on TORS, under seat K and N, removed the under seat runners, driving lights, small windshield, and front crash bars. Thinking about a crossover, and maybe an under tank K and N or Ramair filter. I dream of a Carpenter Kit someday..
Prior bikes; early 70's Chaparral 80 (my first cycle love. we sometimes road 3 up with 2 on the seat and 1 on the tank...), Gemini 80 (tried to get my little brother to take that one), 78 Honda Hawk in orange ( got back in the game, came with a free orange helmet...), 83 Suzuki GS1100G (sounded like a 4 barrel muscle car at wide open), 2003 VTX 1800 (crashed once, sold it to get money to bring my second wife here from the Philippines), 2006 M109R (nice bike, bike, but grabby clutch and no ABS. Sound good rolling out of a corner from low RPM), and now the Rocket.
I am the guy who's friend was like wtf when I bought the same color Rocket, but in my own defense, no one had the red striped one. I originally looked at the HD Muscle, but I had the salesperson take a photo of me on it and it looked like the proverbial clown car, as I am a bigger guy. After looking around, the Rocket 3 was the only bike that checked all the boxes. I am making sure to deck mine out differently than his.
I am sure that is more than anyone wants to know...
