Headlight out on 2009 R3T

Noticed my headlight not working today; neither low, nor hi beam. The little tiny aux bulb lighgs up, but no headlight. Aux/fog lights work fine. I have EB relay kit.

What's typical bulb life? Any easy stuff to try before I buy a new bulb?

Since both elements are out I would look for a wireing problem. The EB kit would have a seperate fuse from the other lights.
