Ride
2014 R3R,
I have been thinking of adding an additional bike to my garage.
Has anyone got or have ridden the Ducati Diavel?
Thanks, sds

i wanted to "test" one out a couple years ago at dealer in co. but he politely informed me it aint a demo. if you love it, buy it he offered. and man i was tempted. absolutely stunning bike imho. it was also 18 grand. passed on it:notworthy:

Sweet brakes and a very comfortable saddle, but it would get very old and uncomfortable for me in a New York City minute.

I had one when they first came out......it was my first ever Duke.......and my last..........nice and comfy but not for me.....it had a clickerty clack chain slap noise on throttle back off and was very judery on low revs ...the tank display used to mist up......there was too much on it to go wrong and from what I have read since ....it usually did go wrong......

Test rode one when I was looking at rockets, the tank hit me in the chest from a standing start in sports mode, scared the bejesus out of me.
Handling was great but I was told they were heavy on fuel and expensive to service.
Ended up with the roadster as a better alternative for comfortable cruising, better pillion seat and looks more like a muscle bike.
I would still have one for those weekends when the boys go out to play.

I sat on one. It was kind of like dating Helen Hunt (the Rocket) and seeing Sophia Loren. You know you're better off with Helen, but holy crap Sophia looks soooooo good. The words High Maintenance keep flashing across my brain.

dont know if true but i heared the valve train is complicated, and you have to have a phd in order to adjust them. no thank you :cautious::eek:

Have to say that I could think of plenty of reasons not to get one but being heavy on fuel sure wouldn't be one of them.

a fun toy but doesnt have the balls it deserves. for an off the shelf bike they go ok but in my opinion if it aint gunna go too hard, it either has to look great or be brilliant at 1 specific thing.

this aint a bike that does any 1 thing brilliantly and looks like a jetski out of water.

if you want a second bike, get a tourer or a classic not another rocket without the power potential.
