No PAM. Most plastics need no release agent so long as the forming dies are machined smooth. In this case the die surfaces are fully machined and the forming temperature is controlled as well as the duration. I've advanced from stink'in up the shop.

That's something to take into account when thermoforming any plastic. The plastic will assume any irregularity in the form that's being used to achieve the desired shape.

In other words, if you use a board with a knothole, the plastic will acquire the silhouette of the knothole at forming temperature.

PAM is real good on the underside of your lawnmower deck to keep clippings from sticking however.

Rather than using plexi or acrylic, why not use one of the PVC foam plastic sheets.

They are innexpensive, available at most plastics suppliers, available in several common colors, and are easily formed with heat.

I'll try that idea next deck wash, the wife says I'm wasting her pam when I use it on my shovels. Hehe
