Hard wiring a satnav

Evening Gents,

What is everybody’s preference on hard wiring a sat nav, obviously I prefer switched as opposed to perm live but it would seem the Roadster doesn’t like anything other then correct accessories fitted to the spare plug under the tank, not being an Auto sparks it’s not my area but I presume the heated grips etc use this plug to fire a built in rely which would explain why it won’t power my Tomtom cradle.

Any ideas? I have searched the sight but can’t seem to find an answer..

Left hand side, under side panel. You will find a JPT connector hanging loose (it's used on California EVAP models). Spot Bollix for triggering relays.
