Hagon Question

This is slightly off topic- i need some help on hagon shocks for my R3 roadster just so i can reduce its height a bit. Given I'm only 5'7, I cant plant both my feet firmly on the ground at stops, so keen to reduce height, I am not keen on going down the seat route as i've had mixed reactions from people. My dealer- performance at cheltenham, Uk suggested hagon shocks, Any ideas and if they are good which one do i need to go. I'm a complete noob here. please help.

Seriously tho, Hagons are a top quality shock with the benifit of adjustable rebound damping for a smoother more controlled ride. Not sure what the stock length of the shocks are on the roadster, only that they're 12.5" on the R3/classic Ring Hagon for the length you require( they do them in 10mm steps on size) & the weight of spring ( according to your body weight) Alternatives are the Progressive range of springs, also good, but my preference is for Hagon Nitro.
If you put say a half inch shorter on the back, drop the forks by a half inch ( dealer can do that) to maintain the balance of trail.
Word of caution, lowering the shocks reduces ground clearance... this may or may not be an issue depending on how hard you ride.

Cheers guys- will be giving hagon a ring tomorrow. the classic is perfect in terms of height for me so i'm looking at dropping by about 1/2 an inch at the most nothing more. If its 12.5 on classic I might try that with hagons. thanks guys. sorry for posting in both threads as i posted here after i did in the other one

To update on my new Hagon Nitros, I too needed to be nearer to the ground and these 11.5" units are a good choice, standard springs are good for my weight 12 stone but if you ride 2 up and loaded I think they would be too soft. Drop the front forks as far as they will go to level it out, about 10mm.

Spoke to hagon today suggested nitros t £ 350, so just need a bit of cash now so i can go ahead and get it. Dealer told me it would cost about £50 fo fitting. so about £400 altogeher. Anyone think i can get some money for the std shocks.

If you deal with Cheltenham Triumph I guess you are local to me so I could save you the £50 in my workshop,
Just realised you have a Roadster which has a taller seat so you can also try fitting my standard seat while you are here.

Fitting ain't hard, just need a car jack ( or better) to support the weight of the motor Can be done yourself, or even better with the help of a friend
