3VEL 1
Standard Bore
Hello fellow Rocket 3 Owners and enthusiasts!
My name is Craig Jones, and I am now a serial R3 owner. In the past, I had a 2007 Rocket III Classic, which I modified quite a bit, with a Corbin seat, ThunderBike bars, Predator exhaust, triple K&N filters, and a few other things. I was active on the Triumph Forum back then, under the name SaturnV.
I took a break from motorcycles after I became the owner of an Ariel Atom track car. That was a great experience, but it became time to move on once more, and I'm now back on 2 wheels.
My new ride is a 2024 Rocket 3 GT Evel Knievel Edition, which I just purchased yesterday from The Brothers Powersports in Bremerton, Washington. My riding skills are a bit rusty after a 5-year gap of riding, but I am taking it easy and re-familiarizing myself with this great machine.
My first impressions is how much improved the new bike is over my previous one, in so many ways. The increase in power is instantly noticeable, and the brakes are incredible. Also instantly noticeable is how much more technology is present. My first Rocket didn't even have a fuel gauge. This one has a computer.
Now I'm biding my time working through the break-in period. When I purchased it, the bike had 1 mile on the odometer. It now has about 75, but it's been raining all day today.
I'm looking forward to connecting with and learning from this community.
Regards,
Craig, with his new 3VEL 1
