Shyt Happens......I hit a retread in my chevy caprice and you wouldn't believe the damage done. In 2004 i hit a sharp metal object on my RK it blew the front tire i crashed it doing 60mph broken wrist and 5 grand damages to the bike. The insurance co. only gave me $3500.00. I'd say looking at what you hit your a lucky boy.....!

You give good advice Sir I learned the same a year back following a vehicle at night it stradled a dead Roo and by the time I saw it in my dipped headlight 2up 110 kph had to run over it... We where lucky the bones didn't stake our tyres..
Now I either overtake or stay well back at night after that experience

It's not a bad idea to stay back a bit and a bit to one side all car drivers myself
included will straddle an obstacle if they can which makes it pretty hard to
see if your directly behind
