Getting old shocks off

Deed done...... Didn't realise how much the bike would sag when just one shock was removed..... Lucky my wife is handy with a rubber mallet to get the things back on whilst I lifted the bike.....ooer!!

Wonder why the top mount of the standard Triumph unit has metal sleeve that fits direct onto the post - Progressives just a rubber bush that slides on direct; seems no sense in the Triumph set up with rubber between the sleeve and the shock 'eye'......
