Gear Position Sensor update question

Hi all,

I'm having a few dramas that seem to be pointing to the GPS on my 2011 Roadster. From what I understand there was an update to a 4 pin sensor. By the look of the service bulletin I need the wiring adapter kit T1296589 but I'm not sure which GPS I need, there seems to be a few number and different site's EPCs are giving me different numbers.

What is the part number of the GPS I need?

T1296589 is the right part, it is an update kit for 2010-13 Roadsters which includes a new 4-wire GPS and the adapter 'fly lead' to mate it to a 2010-13 harness.

(The reason there are other part numbers for the GPS, is if you are just replacing the GPS itself. Either on a 2013+ Roadster, where you only need the GPS unit itself (T1292057), as the main wiring harness was updated in March 2013 - or replacing GPS on a 04-09 Rocket III / Tourer / Classic as it has an entirely different GPS unit, T1190814)

I.e. the update kit T1296589 includes newer Roadster GPS unit itself T1292057.

You will also need to make a wire terminal adjustment inside the tachometer unit, full instructions here both user photos and later the official Triumph guide;
