The memorial of Allan Roy Binns (1953 - 2012) - at HeavenAddress online memorial community

There's a great pic at the above link of Binnsy that TC took when the guys caught up to discuss RDU in July. And a fine tribute I presume by Jetman referencing the Wild Hogs tour Binnsy and he took late last year.

Sorry to hear about your loss Drac. Take care mate.

A very moving service this afternoon with well wishers standing outside there was many people paying there respect to our friend - Binsy - you will be remembered.
Couldnt make the drinks after.

Sarah, my apologies for making it to the funeral or Bearded dragon, I'm afraid work got in the way and as I'm about an hour and a half away I left it to late to get there.
I'm sure Binnsey would have had a smile on his face to see the Rockets there.

Just home from The Bearded Dragon ... It was a really nice service with all of Binnsy's family and many, many friends in attendance. Obvious by the tears from the women and the heartfelt hugs the blokes gave each other Binnsy had touched many lifes. Those that were able to speak told of a man who didn't seek wealth or greatness .. wanting only to be a good friend , father and a helpful and decent bloke. He jammed a lot of fun into the years he had, not wasting time or opportunity to enjoy life to it's fullest. Jetman told everyone of some of the more palatable events that took place on their 'WildHog' trip, he did well to finish .... tears were flowing as he farewelled his longtime riding mate.

His bike was parked right outside the chapel, his coffin drapped in his leather jacket. Binnsy cunningly left his Rocket to Sarah , sure way to keep Pete (her husband) on his toes i thought. Pete led the 40klm ride from the Chapel out to the Bearded Dragon on Binnsy's Rocket. I asked Bruce to try and keep the pace down till we judged Pete's riding ability . That didn't last too long after we cleared the traffic ... the ride would have pleased Binnsy , put it that way. Pete rode well .. the six Rockets arriving long , long before the HD'S and Jap cruisers got there ;) got a few photos that i'll get Catherine to post shortly.

Few photos i took today. I spoke to both his daughters and quite a few of his old mates today ... some from his workplace and some of the blokes he went out shooting and fishing with. They all spoke of just how much he loved riding his Rocket. They were stoked that we have found something that will be a lasting 'memorial' of Binnsy. His daughters love the idea that other families will " get some comfort" from the lounges we are donating.... I told them we were pleased to be able to assist. Both Sarah and Pete have promised to 'drop-in' on the site from time to time ... They asked me to pass on their heartfelt thanks for the friendship and support members gave to Binnsy and for our contributions to his memorial.
