Ride
Rocket 3R, year 2020
Hello, since 6 years I am driving now the 3R model, 74,000 kilometers altogether, mostly touring. Two days ago I was on longer ride, while I suddenly smelled gasoline inspite of high speed, felt a cool sensation at my left leg. Looked down and saw that fuel was spraying out in large volume. Mentally prepared myself to jump off, but tried to make it to an upcoming fuel station,. After no more than 3km the engine shut off. The following day it was discovered that the fuel hose had broken at the edge of the exit nozzle of the tank. This I believe was extremely dangerous. The workshop used fitted a standard fuel hose of the same size, and the bike was up and running again. Has this happened to anybody else?

There was fuel spraying on your leg and you kept riding???? 3 kms at that... You're lucky you aren't a toasty dorito right now. Glad you got it fixed but next time, stop, look, then at least try and redirect/tape up, the gasoline spraying on your body. That's like playing russian roulette with 5 of the 6 barrels loaded

Got any pictures of the hose???
