Got to be the Cobra's over the Metz. Not much choice as the Bridgestone aint available over here.

Well I justed boned up the poll by accident. I hit the other as I scanned passed the Bridgestone and clicked vote just as I saw the field. It was kind of like when you lock your keys in the car and you shut the door right as you're looking at your keys sitting in there.
Anyway, I'm using the Exedra Max, stock size on R3T with over 3,000 miles on them. So far, they show no signs of wear and handle brilliantly. Way cheaper than the Metz but seem a little more slippery over painted lines in the road than the Metz.

changed to a avon cobra awhile back alot smother ride with the yokohamo darkside dont know bout the milage yet hope it get at least 18000 like my metz did

Put a new Metz on today. I'd forgoten how good a new front tyre makes a bike handle. After I got it scrubbed in I did some stunts I havn't done since I stepped of it .The Metz cost $275 at Brisbane Motorcycle Tyres. Did 12500km

If you guys still using the Metz try something else You probably wonder why the hell you stayed with the Metz I very nearly did drop my bike when I changed and guess what even when replacing the old(Shinko) for the new (Shinko)I have found that the old was still handling almost as good as the new. I wouldn't be surprised if Richard and others trying the Brigdy that the same applies to them I was alarmed at how fast the Metz deteriorated not once but twice, I wasn't going to waste my money on a third one

Dont like the look of the tread pattern on the bridgy and I don't want a higher profile rear . I won't mix breeds or go darkside do the only other option is Avon . I hear that they are not that Much better and I can get Metz cheaper at Brisbane Motercycle tires. So until I can get Avons at the same price or someone comes up with an alternative I'm sticking to the Metz they handle ok just wear quick is all

You're right Hanso. Metz was fine when it was new but seemed to go from good to bad to complete crap in no time. Any tyre is bad when it's worn out but Avon seemed to hang on much longer and only go bad right at the end. The Bridgy is going just fine for now. Ask me once it's got 8K or more on it. If it doesn't wear well I'll give Shinko a go or go back to the Avon, but never Metz.

I agree Mitch that the Bridgy tread isn't particularly pretty but it throws water out to the side better than anything I've ever had on any bike and handles a good as any. Depends what you want I guess.

If the bridgy was a 50 series I'd be all over it . I may try a Avon on the back in a few weeks which goes against my mixing breeds thing and if I like it I'll change the front next time but I wish Bridgestone would make a 50 instead of a 55 .
