It does look good. The only thing I'm not sure about is where the screw tightens to keep the two sides of the stand together. I'm wondering if there is much pressure pushing the two half's apart. Does the screw go right through the two pieces or just tighten onto the crossbar ?

I have just noticed a droning sound coming from the front end when up straight and with even a slight lean to either side it is accompanied by what sounds like a grinding noise I think it might be the wheel bearing, but I wanted to know if anyone else has had these symptoms and any other suggestions on what the cause could be.
..I replaced my wheel bearings when I had my wheels powdercoated..I think they came from bike bandit (NKG? made in Poland)..the left front one went bad within 10,000 miles..replaced both front ones with All Balls...all is good now..
Haven't been able to get out lately I was wanting to take the screen off to have a good listenbut the weather over here is sh*t as usual
Thursday looks as if it might be ok so I should get out for blast and hopefully I'll find out what's going on then.
Being stock she's not that loud and I can't remember if I heard it before I done the Tyre pressure. And I haven't got a lift for her yet. Any advice on which lift to go for would be much appreciated
Hi Guys,
Yeah it was the front wheel bearing,
They gave me a Roadster out yesterday evening while she's in
Took her out with the boss on pillion as per and now I know how you guys feel it was like I was 19 again .
It wasn't a great day damp and high gusts across the M'way but we managed 110 mph so it turned out a great day after all
And I'll have till they can order in the bearing from the mainland to fix it
That lift looks ok to me,Ill look into it.

Check the first picture in the upper left side. on this website, look for Rocket 3 You can see this black knob in the middle of the stand. This knob holds the two pieces in place. The first time you use the lifter you will worry a little bit. After using the lifter several times and for all bolting issues - it gets familiar and easy.
I could change the front tire on the Touring. For the rear tire it was not high enough, think caused by the long fender.
