Foot Peg snapped off
Taking the feelers off won't make much difference as you'll just wear away the pegs, I'm now halfway through the end of the peg and will have to replace them when they fall apart. Hopefully the rails will take a bit longer to grind away.
 
In my opinon, the peg feelers are just a way to let you know that harder parts( frame) that will not give are only a short distance away. It appears that you have crash bars, those will also drag(personal expericence), from there you're not far from low siding. They aren't called crash bars for nothing
