Is this the final drive oil Triumph specify?
Also, is there a drain plug at the bottom of the final drive or do I need a syringe to remove and replace oil?
Thanks

Which rocket do you have? , the 2020 rocket im not sure how it drains, drain plug is on the bottom its a hollow magnetic bolt that will break if youre not easy with it, the fill plug is above, that is correct oil 75/90 for a final drive unit. See similar threads below

I have the 2020 R

I did notice a feller on face book was having some leakage issues with his new one. Leaking at the parting face where the 4 bolt flange is and out the breather. Been watching to see if he had had to add engine oil since the leak was clean oil and not milky looking.

In an effort to quieten down the final drive, I have just drained the oil in my final drive, ready for filling when that exact oil arrives later today, it is the Castrol replacement for the oil specified on the manual, so is correct.

The magnetic oil drain plug is underneath the final drive and the filler plug is on the side. They are both the same size and have the same size washers on them, but only the drain plug has a magnet in the middle.

It takes 170ml of 75W/90, when the bike is upright the oil level should be level with the filler hole.

I don't know what the oil is supposed to look like yet but the stuff I took outafter 700mile post service is very metailic silver in colour and there was a good fingertip of metail sludge on the magnet.

In the piccy below, 1 is the drain plug and 2 is the filler plug. both should be tightened with new washers to 25Nm.

if it was from the engine rather than the final drive, I'd expect the leak to be obvious much further up the swinging arm... the bit that the final drive bevel box bolts to is a hollow box, but there is a plastic cover just behind the starter motor cover that shrouds the entry and would expect to see engine oil there, not further down really.
