Fast Idle - again

All I can tell you is that replacing the TPS solved my high idle problem. My suggestion is to do it sooner rather than later. My first experience was heading down hill into a tight bend, letting off the gas and not slowing down as expected. Once I changed my shorts and found out what the problem was I ordered the TPS the same day.

Have there been failures of the TPS assumedly due to the lack of that shim? Replaced mine about a year and a half ago and, so far, no problems...

If you've ever read "Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance" I know you can't use beer can shims on a beemer !

I replaced my TPS with a new blue bout three years ago..didn't use a shim..so far, so good.
