As I cautiously suspected... another company offering products on their website that they don't have and can't get... they just canceled my order... Ah well...

No chance if you do not try and it is surprising how often you can still score a bargain.
I think the staff just get lazy to update and are ignorant on specific models as many of the big companies stock 100s of 1000s of parts for a heap of different brands.
The better ones update and mark them as discontinued or obsolete. Fowlers UK Triumph seem to do that fairly well despite covering a bunch of brands and models too.

Slightly off topic, but I did want to mention that I have tried heated gloves today, for the first time. Seems to work for me, at least I came back with only slightly cool fingers after driving around for half an hour on the open road with these:
Temperature is in the low 30's / 0° Celsius around here today. With my normal winter gloves I would have suffered from the cold, especially because i did drive at up to 80+mph.
So personally, I will use these instead of heated grips in the future.
