Fall '09- Rocket launch - Maggie Valley

Skip....It doesnt matter where you get your appetite as long as you eat your meals at home....;)

You know I've got a Tennessee woman here at home,
she knows I look. Heck, I ain't queer.
She also knows I'm as faithful as a lap dog,
and yea, I LOVE eattin at home..:D

John, you gotta sew that killer bunnie patch on your vest.

hey what happen bout the jumping rabbit
just trying to get a head up on how much rain you all want on this next trip so i can try to even it out over the event:)

rainman there no reason for any more rain your bike got its annual washing during RAA IV :) I am going to try to make it to the area a couple of times before sept to work on the route planing we will give you and sweet tenn a call so we can maybe hook up. Just for the record I will be bringing the trailer and parking under cover :D

Yikes... you guys really took off with this. We are going to do something with Baxter's Rally which should be Aug 15th and 16th. That is Midwest fer sure... About halfway between Omaha and Des Moines on I 80.

We were also thinking about a Eureka Springs repeat in early September but probably not now.

It would be too much of a conflict and too close to a second Maggie Valley.

I will have more on the Baxter Rally in a couple of weeks. Piggr and I will be up there on May 30th to set things up. No need to reply to this at this time until I get things squared away.

Tom the Baxter rally in august sounds Fun you can count me in let me know when you have more info

I am starting to think about the regional events, what would be best for the events timing and what have you. here is a couple thoughts now timing of the events for example north west and south east there would not be any conflict between the 2 no matter what date would be set up but location with in a days ride should be separated by a few weeks so people wishing to go to both could like a midwest and south east. There would need to be some communication between the people setting the events up if patches and rockers were to be created for example one patch per year for the event and a location rocker for the event location for those going to multiple events can show off which events they went to. this has the potential to be an event that lasts for sometime. the RAA is in different locations each year all over the US the Launches can be all over a specific area in the region giving more people a chance to make it out. What would be nice would be setting up a charity for the events and offer a 50/50 a raffle and what have you to get the word out

..Closer to Omaha.

I'll be at Baxters with Tom and Pig. Actually, my wife and I will be there. We have rooms booked at the Stupid Ate in Walnut, Iowa. Walnut is tha antique capital of Iowa, just west of the thriving metropolis of Marne...(population 140).

I hear it's quite a shindig. There will be a show, rides, dinner rides, breakfeast, lots of vintage and late model bikes, the Triumph semi will be there with new bikes and I hear that the main drag turns into just that...a dragway.

It's a haul for me but I'm up to it. I'll be travelling in air conditioned comfort this time (bike will be on the trailer). Rocket is staying home. Bonnie is going.

Just going to Baxters to oogle at the old restored bikes is worth thr trip. There is a bunch of pictures in my photo album of Baxters and the bikes and that ain't all of them, just part.

I dont know about that . . . might be a good meeting point for the Texas and southwestern folks . . I may even be interested in that if it were to come about. I'll be in Land Between The Lakes (Paducah) Kentucky for Labor Day Weekend anyway . . If it were the next weekend I may just wander around for a few days between and go to ES.
