ridinsunshine they will most definitely be at least one 2 rocket family there me and stb so dont let a little rain discourage youall last time look at mv weather was just 30% for rain and dont belieave the weather channel me and a friend one time left the house and ran into rain bout 3 miles after we started and the rader according to the weather channel showed no rain in east tn at the time so i dont believe the weather channel anymore

Bear has been watching the weather channel. I was looking the weather up on-line there too. Didn't like their reports and the ones Steve was giving from Accuweather sounded better so been looking at that site instead. We are trying to be optimistic and are giving it a shot. It's like I told Bear that in past it seems like there is always a hurricane and rains projected for these events and then we get reports that the rain wasn't bad and everyone had a great time. So that is what we are shooting for.
I am really looking forward to this trip and meeting everyone. Especially Katie and SweetTNBabe since they are riding their own also. I am not normally around other females that ride their own. So this is going to be a treat for me.

As I said earlier, IF a storm system sets up over the 4 corners we'll have at least one day of rain. At this time it's looking like late Saturday or early Sunday. The system looks to be setting up over panhandle OK and panhandle TX to begin with. The TX coast and LA will see the beginnings of the rain intrusion by Wednesday. At this time the system I speak of was digging southward from eastern Colorado with thunderstorms over OK and central TX. With this trajectory the major rain should be on the north side of the Smokys (Gatlinburg side). Much like the spring rendezvous.
Doesn't matter: we'll be there with bells on and rain gear aboard.

This is shaping up to be a good event 38 people confirmed so far looks like about 22 Rockets just from our group.
The holiday is full. overflow arrangments have been made across the street. There are several people bringing friends and family. The holiday has also booked several room for there frequent biker guest. Please do what you can to make these guest feel welcome.
If you are planning on attending it's not to late you can make reservation at the overflow motel across the street (contact the holiday for details) and join us for all the fun.
