I think that car museum is the Floyd Garrett Muscle Car Museum in Seveirville, TN. I believe it is somewhere between Nashville and Knoxville. From what I hear it is quite interesting and has been featured on My Classic Car, Car Crazy, Hot Rod TV and Gearz.
This is the one we were going to try to hit on the way. But I see they are closed on Wednesday and that is probably the day we will be through that area. In the magazine it looked like a really cool place. Although their website is not real friendly.
That sounds good JD. I will be staying the night in Powder Springs so I will be ready to hit the road anytime, we leave early enough we can hit the car museum then later on hit the bike museum.
I may leave early on Thurs. and hit the Floyd Garrett Museum myself. It is about 1.25 hr or less past Maggie valley and about 1 tank of feul from my house. I guess it depends on the weather. I have passed it several times but never had the time to stop.
I have been looking at the weather and it looks like it's going to be down right chilly up there on the 20th high of 65 and low of 46. Looks like I have got to leave the shorts and sandals at home for this trip
For what it's worth I checked the accuweather.com 15 day extended forecast and thursday an friday look good so far, with sunshine winning the weather war, highs in the mid 70's and low's in the 50's (by the time it is in the 50's we will have consumed plenty of antifreeze) perfect riding weather by my standards. we will see if it hold true over the next week or so. The only real way to determine the weather is to stick you head out the window...... I will continue to update as the launch date gets closer. but for those attending no worries we will ride rain or shine.
And I think Rainman must be visiting Texas right now, cause it has been raining off and on for two and half days.........bad for my mood. But great for all the ranchers and farmers.....
