We got 6 inches of rain in two days time I think. Our road from the highway is a mess. No riding this weekend. Oh well! Like I said the ranchers and farmers are happy. Have started packing for the trip though Leaving in 9 days!

Ahhh.... I'm gonna have a nice vacation... I'm leaving Monday the 21st and heading to Florida, going to be staying at St. Josephs Penensula state park, I'll leave there Wednesday and go back home then I'm leaving first thing Thursday AM to get to MV.

We have had really a dry spring and summer this year. Ranchers have been selling off animals because they can't afford to keep paying the high prices for the hay that has to be trucked in. My honey bear has about put himself in poor house paying the feed bill, himself. He sold off a bunch several weeks ago and I think he is working on selling some more before we leave. With everyone selling their animals it is causing the prices to be low. So it is no win situation for them.

But......I am with you about needing some sun. We have had cloudy rainy weather now for 5 days I think. As of yesterday, I had had enough of it. My mood doesn't handle the cloudy days very good. I am a Summer Time Child. Love my sunshine and the warm weather, so I am glad I don't live where you do.

I am packed already. Have both warm weather clothes packed and cool weather gear. Darn cool weather stuff sure takes up a lot of room. If it weren't for that stuff I could get everything in the saddle bags with nothing strapped on. The way my bike is set up it is sure tricky strapping a bag on without damaging my paint job.

For me when I leave Thursday the temp will drop by atleast 20 degrees by the time I get up there. I plan on sending most things in the car and taking just enough with me to make it if i can't get the car up there that night. I will leave work in chaps and jeans and pack the coat in a bag. Next week will be here before we all know it.

Sending your stuff in a car? Now I don't feel so bad. I thought about mailing my stuff. Only thing that stopped me was if we leave MV on Sunday and don't stay till Monday it could be tricky getting it mail back.
