ECTA Moves Racing to Ohio

East Coast Timing Association has a new home for 1 mile Land Speed Racing in 2012: Wilmington Airpark in Wilmington Ohio.



Four meets for 2012 as follows:

April 28-29 (Hot Rod Magazine Street Car Shootout)
June 2-3
July 7-8
Sept 28-29

The runway is in extremely good, smooth condition and should yield better speeds than old "rough as a cob" Maxton. Also no dog-leg in shut down.

mmm...close to Dayton. Might have to combine a visit to the races with a visit to the Air Force Museum.

My guess is that the Wilmington airport was a back-up facility for the base at Dayton. Is that correct?
