That's why we Aussies buy so much from stateside dealers try $800 for the triumph cat delete in aus,I paid $420 delivered to my door from the states and that is just one of many examples
Iwonder what the freight and shipping costs would be to bring a rocket over in parts (to avoid massive customs duty) probally have quite some change
Not just Rocket bits either. You can save 30%-50% on things like helmets too.
2nd hand '08 R3s for sale here right now on largest bike sale web site range from $15,250 to $21,000. Cheapest R3 on the site is an '04 with 62,000kms for $12,000.

Those '08 models that were worth $25,000 new selling for $12,000-$15,000 in the real world. One with 62k you would be lucky to find a buyer, got $10,000 for my mates '06 model with 68k on it. Cycletrader in the States has half as many R3's as websites here yet they seem to hold there price much better over there. New Roadsters for $15,000 and here $25,000 ... I don't get the difference in the market prices for used bikes. Insurance company is paying more to repair my bike than what i could sell it for .. confused but nothing new about that!!!!
