I apologize if this has been asked previously as a search was negative, so here goes: What is is/are the differences between the discontinued triple TORs and the stock pipes on an '06 Standard? In looking closely at various YT videos the TORs appear to be just slightly shorter and sound darn near hollow but I thought I'd the experts. Thanks very much!
ive run both long and short 3pipe systems, and the sound and performance does change for the better with the tors.the tors I don't find to be very loud, just enough to know you are riding a beast .ive seen a thread where someone cut a stock pipe lengthwise and it looked like the only difference was the length .it seemed like about a 3'' section with a smaller opening was the only physical difference between the 2.although the baffels could be different.i seem to have got more sound change by going from the slash cut tips to the the round tips.sound was noticeably more deep with the round tips.
oh crap I loaded before I was done.hate when that happens, forget the stock exhausts and get an aftermarket setup. probly be cheaper and the performance and sound is second to none, I personally recommend the ces setup for ease of installation, and its the only one ive used .but man they look beautiful ,sound great, not to loud but i think just right, and where your located you could probly get a set in a week
Drop in K&N and this CAT delete is all I'm doing to mine for now. I like the tri-pipe look with cigar tips.
Otherwise, dump the tri-pipe and redo the whole thing. There are lot's of choices.
