Hi all,
Had a search for this topic to no avail. Im hoping to cut down my current exhaust which is a triumph slip-on system with a cat bypass, id like to take maybe 20cm's off the back and then get it black ceramic coated. Has anyone done this and do you think it would affect the exhaust pressures enough to need a tune afterwards???
regards and thanks in advance
Rhys
I get lost in all the technicalities of all this tuning stuff, sometimes its like they do it just to make more money out of you haha.

Do you have tuneboy? (or Pc3) every bike responds slightly differently & a dyno tune is the only way to max performance. Cutting the pipe probably .. won't make the bike run badly, but un dynoed you might be running 10 hp+10 torque down from what you COULD be running. The guy to speak too in Brisbane is Skip from performance motorcycle centre

..cutting down the muffler..no no no no..cause ya still got those ugly header pipes.. ..predators is the only answer my friend..and welcome aboard..here's the link..

gday guys, thanks for the replies.
I didnt mod the exhaust pipes yet, however i work for an exhaust wholesaler so i have already put the feelers out for some really really really nice custom headers once ive bought my tuneboy.. im going to call in some favours and get a real nice looking set custom made, and if i can bypass the oxy sensor somehow ill just do a three dropping straight from the engine setup like this one

Just put my 3 rear mufflers in for a black ceramic coating, took the tips off them and i will see how they look in black/chrome...post pics when it comes out.
in the process of blacking out the engine while the headers are off aswell... harder than i thought i wish i wasnt a perfectionist!
thanks again
