just installed the Biketronics CribClicker Garage Door Opener. easy install & works good! just hook the receiver to the garage door opener (2 wires). hook the transmitter to high beam and ground. flash your high beams twice to operate the garage door opener.

That is cool. $90.00 and I don't have to get off the bike. GREAT! I lost my remote for the opener, guess I don't need it. I'll put this on my Christmas list. Right along with the Gamon nuvi 1690 (I think thats it, the one I can monitor engine functions), and a pair of socks. HMMM, wonder what I'll get?

I always buy an extra mini garage door remote and then wire a radio shack switch to the pc board inside the remote. All you have to do is look at the board and see where the contacts are for the pushbutton switch and then tap off of them for the switch you're adding. I use black telephone wire to get the switch up to the bars or somewhere convenient.

If you know anyone with basic soldering and electronic skills, its really quite easy. Then it only costs $35.. and a beer for said friend.

Guess I take the lowest tech approach. I keep a spare garage door opener in my jacket pocket. Been working fine for the last 7 or 8 years, one battery replacement that I can remember.

Yeah me also. It is always in my all weather suit or my leather riding jacket. I always have it where I can hit the button while riding so by the time I get to the garage door it is already opened so I just ride in .... no stopping. :D

I never have to get off the bike to open the garage ... The one I use hase been working great for going on 7 years...... It even has a name Katie :D it has cost me a lot more than 90.00 but worth every penny.
